The Birth of Chatters

If you have ventured into this site, you are probably aware of the mission that Silver Spring lives by - Put the Bounce Back in Your Life! The focus is through coaching and counselling in a self-discovery journey.

It came a chance when Silver Spring is given an opportunity to take over a deli to carry out her mission to a higher level; creating a melting pot for like-minded people to share thoughts and experiences, encouraging one another. Great conversations over a wide selection of Western and Fusion cuisine to whet your appetite!

I came to know Helen and Silver Spring by chance, through a career coaching session. Being 9 months away from Singapore, non-employed by choice, in the midst of economic downtime, I couldn't help but feeling somewhat defeated. Still, at my age, going through career changing can be quite daunting. But with her wide spool of contacts and ability to recognize my strengths, Helen gave me great support and wonderful advice, even opened a few doors of possible opportunities.

On 1 Dec 2009, Silver Spring started as a coaching consultancy, extended into new ground - A cafe aptly called Chatters. It is a little cozy cafe with a mission that Helen has envisioned: a place where recareerists, or simply people who wish to reinvent themselves to have a more satisfying career, can gather together to network, exchange ideas and collaborate. My frequent visits to Chatters has been pretty exciting and interesting. I have met many people that I normally would not, learning new things each time. I met a successful career woman who shared a few tips on my next career change. I have also met a retired nurse who told me about things I do not know about: abortion in Singapore. Its an eye-opener!

Chatters staff are hand picked by Helen with a good reason. And it is their passion and involvement that makes Chatters such a warm place to be in. And with Chef Rowena in the kitchen, I assure you good food always!

Helen gave me a glimpse of hope. In dark times, we usually are not able to see the light and everything seems grey. What Helen did was to strike the match, and show me light is there, the hidden path is now visible to follow through. And this is what Silver Spring is all about...put the bounce back in your life.
